Add page numbers to a PDF
Number your pages wherever you like, in the format you like — “3”, “3 / 12”, “Page 3 of 12” — on every page or just some.
Your files never leave your browser. Nothing is uploaded, anywhere.

How it works
- Drop in your PDF.
- Choose the position, the format and which pages to number; the preview shows the real result.
- Save: the numbers are added and nothing else in the document moves.
Questions
- Can numbering start on a later page?
- Yes. Under “Apply to”, type for example “3-” to leave the cover and contents unnumbered, then pick the first number to show.
- What about double-sided printing?
- Tick “Facing pages” and the numbers move to the outside edge: right on odd pages, left on even ones.
- Do rotated or cropped pages work?
- Yes. The number goes at the bottom of the page as it’s displayed, even if it’s been rotated or cropped.
- Is my file uploaded anywhere?
- No. Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
