How it works
- Drop in your PDF.
- Pick a tool and place text, images or shapes on the pages.
- Download the edited PDF.
Questions
- Can I change the text that’s already in the PDF?
- Not directly: a PDF doesn’t store its text as paragraphs you could rewrite. Cover the passage with whiteout and type over it — once printed, the result is the same. To take information out of the file, use redaction.
- Do accents and foreign names work?
- Yes. The fonts embedded in the PDF cover the whole Latin alphabet and its accents, Vietnamese included: Nguyễn, Łukasz or Öztürk come out as typed. A character they lack (Greek, Cyrillic, Chinese…) is pointed out before saving.
- Is the added text still text?
- Yes: it can be selected, searched and read by screen readers, like the rest of the document.
- Is my file uploaded anywhere?
- No. Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
